Dr. Michael Borst graduated as a Doctor of Physical Therapy from the University of St. Augustine – Miami. Michael is certified as an Emergency Medical Responder for the Athlete by the American Academy of Sports Physical Therapy and holds multiple certifications in Strength and Conditioning and Sports Performance. He has diverse clinical experience with his expertise in sports and orthopedics. Michael is a certified Titleist Performance Instructor (TPI), specializing as a golf medical specialist. When working with golfers, he provides care geared toward optimizing his patients’ movement patterns and improve orthopedic deficits negatively impacting the golf swing. In turn, he is able to improve the golfer’s performance and prevent further injury. Michael has treated high school, collegiate, and professional athletes including athletes across 25 NFL teams and has worked on the medical team for Bommarito Performance Systems’ NFL draft preparation. Michael utilizes his advanced manual therapy skills and forward-thinking exercise prescription to properly bridge the gap between rehabilitation and sports performance. In addition to athletes, he provides paramount care to the general orthopedic population through evidence-based practice and a large emphasis on patient education. His goal as a physical therapist is to optimize patients’ movement and exceed their prior level of functioning when possible. In Michael’s free time he enjoys exercising, golf, football, Sunday Italian family dinners, and time with friends.
