What types of insurance do you accept?

We accept all types of insurance, including Medicare, and work with most insurance carriers. We do not participate with any HMO or EPO insurance plans. If you have a compatible insurance plan, our highly trained front desk personnel will make the entire process as seamless as possible. We start by gathering your information and then make all the necessary phone calls for you. After we verify your benefits to assure that your visits will be covered, you’ll be contacted to schedule an appointment.

Do I need a prescription to receive physical therapy?

No. Physical therapy in New Jersey is governed by “Direct Access” laws, which simply state that a licensed physical therapist may perform physical therapy services without a prescription or referral from a Medical Doctor. This means we can be your first point of contact for any therapy or rehabilitation need you may have. If you have already obtained a prescription from you doctor, that’s okay too. Either way you can begin your treatment immediately.

Who will be overseeing my care, and does everyone follow the same treatment plan?

You will have a physical therapist devoted to your care. During your physical therapy sessions, you will work with your therapist one-on-one to address your problem areas and achieve your desired outcomes. After your initial evaluation, you will be treated and prescribed a customized program targeting your chief complaint. In our experience, getting the patient involved with their care yields the best results. Let our physical therapists help you make a comeback!

My child has a sports injury. What age range does your facility treat and is Parabolic the right place for youth physical therapy?

Based on our credentialed and experienced staff, we’re able to work with patients of all ages. Our therapists have worked in multiple settings, and this has given them the experience needed to provide the best care for your child. We make each session goal-specific and productive, while still having fun!

What types of physical therapy do you provide, and what treatments do your physical therapists specialize in?

We take a unique approach in evaluating your movement patterns to determine your weaknesses and strengths, and then implement various leading-edge treatments including ART, Graston Technique, and the Functional Movement Screen, among others. Please see our Treatment Options to learn more about what we do and how we can help you.

I'm not an athlete. Is Parabolic the right physical therapy center for me?

Yes. Our goal is to restore or build strength and fitness for a better quality of life at any level. We are able to treat any condition whether you’ve had a knee replacement, a tendon or ligament repair, rotator cuff surgery, or are dealing with chronic back pain. Your physical therapist will educate you about your condition and our recommended treatment plan, which will be tailored just for you. We will work with you towards a speedy recovery.

What credentials do your physical therapists have and are they licensed?

Our therapists are licensed and insured, and hold Doctorates in Physical Therapy. This means they can thoroughly evaluate and diagnose all your physical problems and sources of pain, while also providing comprehensive, effective treatment.

We also have Orthopedic Certified Specialists (OCS) on our team. This is a board certification provided by the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) that distinguishes leaders in the field. There are currently 215 therapists with their OCS accreditation in New Jersey, and at Parabolic we pride ourselves on providing our patients with the most skilled therapists found anywhere, enabling our patients to get better, faster!
